Free Online MCAT Practice Tests

The 3 simulated exams in The Gold Standard textbook are always updated and interactive at the website listed below for free. The free 2007 practice exams will be online in September, 2006, and will be fully cross-referenced to the current edition of The Gold Standard. In fact, The Gold Standard and videos cover the content for both the 2007 and 2008 exams. They are available at The MCAT Store.

The official AAMC practice test is based on a real past exam and it is available by clicking: free MCAT practice test.  Please note: the AAMC often changes the link so if it is not there, do the following: go to AAMC.org, click on MCAT, click MCAT Publications then look for Test 3R (the R refers to Revised).

The 3 free Gold Standard tests can be accessed here: free practice MCATs.

The new CBT: Computer Based Test for the Medical College Admission Test

2006 will be remembered as the last year of the paper test and 2007 is the introduction of the Computer Based Test. The content is the same but the MCAT CBT is a shorter test.

Here is a summary of the 2007 MCAT changes:

• the test will be shorter (approximately 5 hours vs. the current testing time of 8 hours).
students will receive their exam scores more quickly.
the exam will be offered more frequently throughout the year (up to 20 testing dates).
the exam will be given in smaller, climate-controlled rooms.

Where can I get practice tests for the 2007 exam?
